Welcome to J Ellen's Micro Blog!
2nd June 2025 A holiday was needed
A long break in Toronto was just what the doctor ordered !! I even managed to find a funky bookshop down the back streets called "Good Egg" stocking purely cooking, food, nutrition books, see the photos in the gallery.
We released "The Girl With Eyes of Jade" on the 30th May whilst I was in Canada, yes I took my laptop with me...so excited when it finally popped up on Amazon, click the link below to buy your copy.
The debut poetry collection by Matt Hodge and E. Jade narrates a beautiful journey of love, accompanied by a stunning array of both both California and Australian Scenery and erotic artwork, its is a must read !
14th May 2025 Manic Times
OK so the micro blog has been on hold for a little while, we have been so busy here since Autumn 2024. Our first publication came out in November 2024 with John Maclean's debut poetry collection, I will always have a soft spot for this book, being my first client publication. Our next book, but not the first book for author Nelson Brooks, "The Fair Way" a crime comedy novel was released on April 28th 2025. This was so much fun to work on with the author, I was delighted also to have a meet up with Nelson and his lovely wife Elaine in my home town of Stratford Upon Avon, just last week. We shared some bubble's and chatted about books, what else would we talk about !!

29th August The Challenges of Writing a Book
Writing a book presents numerous challenges, and it is crucial not to allow these obstacles to hinder your progress. Always remember your identity as a WRITER. Throughout this writing journey, it is important to practice patience with yourself and acknowledge that you possess a remarkable story to share. This endeavor is not a sprint or a competition; it requires considerable time and effort. Therefore, take your time and avoid pressuring yourself when inspiration seems elusive. Setting your work aside until ideas flow naturally is often more beneficial than forcing the process, which can lead to unnecessary stress. Aim to make this experience enjoyable; while it may demand hard work, remember that you are a WRITER.
At times, you may find yourself in need of a mental boost. In such moments, reminding yourself that your writing is unique can help maintain your focus. It is understandable to struggle with the vision of your book on a shelf, and the journey may be lengthy, but that is perfectly acceptable. When brilliant thoughts and ideas come to mind, be sure to capture them on paper promptly. Notebooks are an indispensable tool for any writer, though I may be slightly biased due to my fondness for acquiring them.
