In 2019, J Ellen relocated to the historic town of Stratford Upon Avon, where she discovered a profound passion for writing. This newfound interest particularly flourished in the realms of erotic and sensual poetry, ultimately leading to the publication of her debut book, "Meet Me at the Crossroads," in 2021. In 2023 she published a collection of Monoku poetry (Japanese short form) from poets around the globe.
J Ellen distinguishes herself from other writers through her dedicated involvement and commitment to the writing community on Twitter. She offers poetry prompts for fellow writers, along with valuable advice and support through her Learn & Write Poetry Podcasts. Additionally, her passion for creation and collaboration with other writers is further exemplified by the establishment of her small publishing business.
